Leather Sculpture Reflection.
1. I think the good parts of my project are the colors and metal accessories because it all goes together.
2. I think if I made the pattern on the main piece of leather myself which I am capable of doing would make it better. Would of also liked the little straps a little nicer.
3. My project is a strap for my camera and I am into photography and I think it makes my camera more personal and the strap is more comfortable than the one it came with.
4. My project has an aztec indian pattern on the main part and the metal parts all match. I like aztec/indian patterned stuff so thats why I chose that.
5. The most detail on mine is probably how I stained the pattern different in certain parts to make it pop.
6. I learned that you can make stuff personalized that serves a purpose for a hobby.
7. I started out with the main strap and attached the two metal rings for the other straps to connect. Then I attached and made the little straps with the buckles. I then stained all of the pieces and splattered them with bleach. The main strap I stained a second time in the pattern for it to pop. I had to make holes for the buckle to close on and to be adjustable. All of this was planned besides the bleaching and different staining.
8. I really enjoyed this projected. I had never really looked at making things from leather and it was a fun and interesting project.
