Reflection.
1. The good and strong parts of my sculpture are the different types of wire I used in it. I like how the barbed wire gives it kind of a rough western look.
2. The end of the tail I didn't like how it turned out because it doesn't go to well with it... I would probably used more barbed wire to finish the tail.
3. My design is a rattle snake which are more commonly in the south. I used the rusted barbed wire to give it a more western look.
4. The form of my sculpture is a snake which is a long rope like figure that is curled up in a striking position.
5. The rusted barbed wire really stands out and is a strong part of my sculpture.
6. This project taught me that little simple things can make a difference on how you perceive things. Like the barbed wire symbolizes rough western style.
7. I had planned on doing a snake in the first place because I thought the wire would form in that shape good. When I started out I just used one piece and folded it in half with two loops at the end for the head. Then I used another piece of wire and just started wrapping it around. I had made eyes and a tongue and attached them along with some teeth. At this point I thought I was finished. But then and idea sparked of rusted barbed wire giving it a better look. So I went and got some. This was the hard part. Barbed wire doesn't bend to easy. I finally got it all wrapped. I no longer like the eyes in tongue so I used two barbs for the eyes and a piece that split like a snake tongue.
8. I really liked this project because wire can form to almost anything you want and you have a few different mediums of wire to use.
